Callington Town Hall

Callington Town Hall hosts a wide variety of events, such as music concerts, craft fairs and dance classes, as well as theatrical performances. Most recently, the hall has played host to ‘The Thing That Came From Over There’, a show created by celebrated theatre company Gonzo Moose, renowned for their accessible stage comedy, improvisation and music.

With a seating capacity of 180 theatre style and standing room for 225, as well as a large stage and high-specification sound and lighting, Callington Town Hall is a popular venue for many artists, from the more local up-and-coming acts through to the established and prolific national performers.

The town hall also boasts a well-equipped Lounge Bar which offers a comfortable and relaxing environment for pre-show drinks and interval refreshments, as well as well-appointed on-site toilet facilities.

Located within the Tamar Valley Mining District, part of the UNESCO-inscribed Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, and just five miles west of the Cornish border, the small market town of Callington – or Kelliwik as it’s known to Cornish speakers – is well worth a visit. Tucked away on the south western slopes of Kit Hill’s granite outcrop, this historic and lively town is located just a few miles from the vibrant city of Plymouth.
