Located on Lamorna Cove Road and featuring a small car park, Lamorna Village Hall is a popular performance hotspot for some of Cornwall’s most respected theatre companies, musicians and artists, as well as being a regular private-hire choice for local residents.
With a varied programme of events, workshops, classes and exhibitions on offer, visitors to the hall can learn to dance, sing, cook, act, garden and much, much more. In addition to providing valuable community space for residents, the hall also plays host to many performances and shows from some of the music scene’s best-loved acts, including gig-circuit favourite, Salt Road.
Many lively and entertaining theatre shows have been staged at the hall over the years. The venue recently welcomed Fathom Theatre’s ‘Twelfth Night’, which gave visitors the full Shakespeare experience, but like they’d never seen it before. John Griffiths has previously performed ‘40 Years Gone – My Life in Parts’, a light-hearted evening of stories, gossip and singing, following his very successful performance of ‘Young and Easy’, which marked the centenary of Dylan Thomas’ birth.
Well-known theatre company Scary Little Girls has also toured its sell-out show ‘The Full Brontë’ at the hall, entertaining theatre and comedy fans with a collection of storytelling, music, audience games and sketches.
