About this event
Join our scenic coastal walk at the picturesque Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, and help find a cure for brain tumours.
This brand new 7km circular walk incorporates the South West Coast Path, boasting beautiful views across Plymouth Sound and featuring several historical sites along the way.
We’ll start at The Edgcumbe Arms, allowing participants to join by car or foot via the Cremyll Ferry from Stonehouse. Heading west through the village, the route will follow the water’s edge before crossing into open pasture and the tranquil forests. We will then rejoin the coastal path to enjoy the views across Plymouth (the home of one of our Research Centres of Excellence) before finishing back on the waterfront at the pub.
Mount Edgcumbe Country Park covers over 865 acres of listed landscape on the Rame Peninsula in South East Cornwall, and is otherwise known as Britain’s Historic Park by the Sea. The house dates back to the 1550’s, and there are more than 50 Grade II listed structures across the park, many of which we will pass. There are also a range of family activities, shops and cafés available to enjoy.
This is a family friendly route and dogs on leads are also welcome.
