About this event
BYO picnic and join us on Gylly Beach in front of the cafe on Sunday 21s May 2023 from 11:00-14:00. Look out for the blue WAY banner.
This is an opportunity to come together and have fun whilst acknowledging the more difficult of times, in a space where those wishing to may share their experiences with grief.
It will be a spring low tide at 13:25 so there will be plenty of beach for playing rounders and lots of rockpools to explore.
Gylly has several takeaway places to get food and an eat-in restaurant. There are toilets and showers at the beach and nearby car parks.
The beach also has lifeguards with separate designated areas for those using boards (mostly paddle boards at Gylly) and bathers, and a place to hire boards (paddle boards).
At this time of year, dogs are not allowed on the beach during the day.
Please feel free to come along with friends and family as this event is open to all irrespective of WAY membership
Please note that children are the responsibility of the adults they attend with. This event is organised by members of WAY who also volunteer for the charity. This is an outdoor event and may be cancelled if it is unsafe to meet.
