About this event
I’m a full-time British artisan specialising in handmade bags, scarves, and other accessories under my ‘Pohutukawa’ label. I primarily use colourful Harris Tweed® cloth and Liberty of London fabrics working from my roundhouse studio. I love using my ‘eye for colour’ in combining fabrics when creating items to add to my collection.
I’m inspired by nature and enjoy creating original designs, building a picture with embroidery and appliqué detail with carefully chosen fabrics. My bags are unique or limited editions, all made with love, skill and care, and designed to last.
All items on sale have been hand-crafted by me in my studio, just off the A30 on the edge of Bodmin Moor, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). If you think tweeds are dowdy and boring think again! Come and see me working on my latest creations. I’ll be happy to tell you more and would love to hear your thoughts over a coffee (or tea!).
