About this event
Join us on the last Saturday in April, 10am-12pm, for a playful monoprinting workshop where you can create your own one-of-a-kind artwork.
Inspired by Cornwall’s amazing wildlife, this activity is aimed at all ages. Older children will enjoy developing detailed prints, while younger children can explore expressive mark-making and discovering what happens when colour, texture and imagination meet.
For babies we will have tuff trays with interactive play inspired by storytelling.
The sessions are run by artist and workshop facilitator, Sophie Stanley-Butcher from Pop Up Paint Pot. They are free and drop-in, no need to book.
Storytale Studio is our monthly craft session at the end of each month. Find out more about these sessions by clicking here.
This project is a collaboration with Redruth Library and is funded by SWRLS (South Western Regional Library Services).
About Storytale Studio
Did you know Kresen Kernow is home to the largest collection of books about Cornwall?
From picture books to folk tales, history to contemporary stories, our shelves hold thousands of books that help us understand Cornwall’s past and present.
Inspired by these stories, we are running 12 free, monthly family craft sessions throughout 2026. Each session invites families to explore our library through book displays, trails and hands-on activities.
Across the year we’ll explore a range of themes and creative techniques, including puppets, book-making, monoprinting…and much more.
