About this event
After meeting at the car park, the walk will take you down towards little Fistral along the headland looking out for flora and fauna that shares our coastline. Spot seals and the Cornish Chough and learn about the plants that live in this extreme habitat. The walk will join the Seaquest Southwest leader up on Towan Headland where the guide will explain the project and how to get involved.
Please note we will run this in all weather – unless there is a weather warning, and we believe it is unsafe to do so. Please dress appropriately: sturdy shoes, coats and layers that you don’t mind getting wet! Terrain will be hilly and may be rocky and slippery.
This workshop is part of Be Newquay Festival – a new season of events, activities and workshops that celebrate Newquay’s culture and creative spirit. Throughout each weekend in November, the festival will be taking place at various venues across the town. Find out what else is on the programme here. Join us and be creatively curious.
The Be Newquay Festival has been curated by Cornwall Council project ‘Experience Newquay’ in collaboration with local project partners Love Newquay and Visit Newquay. It is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
