About this event

Willow experience day focusing on planting, harvesting and weaving outdoor structures.

Join me at my willow beds for a fun day of learning how to establish and maintain your own willow bed for fencing, sculpture, or basketry. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in:

– Harvesting and taking cuttings for planting
– Planting willow
– Creating your own living willow garden structure, fence, or children’s den
– Making fence panels or garden edging
– Making your own woven willow tree for your garden

All tools and refreshments will be provided, including a hearty vegetable soup and plenty of cake to keep you energized throughout the day.

This course is designed for adults aged 18 and over. The activities for the day will involve crouching and lifting and will primarily take place outside, so please come dressed warmly and wear sturdy, waterproof footwear and gardening gloves (waterproof if possible). It’s also advisable to bring waterproof clothing in case of inclement weather.
