About this event
Venue: Pixel Penzance
Women Speak Volumes (South West) is a collective comprising older women writers from Cornwall and Devon. In April of this year, they published (in)Visibilities, a collection of short fiction, memoir and poetry. Among contributors to the book – and taking part in this lively, interactive panel discussion – are Amanda Harris, Emma Timpany, Helen Scadding, Shelley Trower and Tracey Fuller. They will continue to explore the themes of (in)Visibilities: how the marginalisation of age, gender and lack of literary visibility shapes writing. But, also, whether invisibility offers unexpected freedoms, authority and creative power
Concessions strictly for: under-18s, full-time students, those in receipt of working-age benefits or Pension Credit
