About this event
Historian and author Phil Hadley presents an illustrated talk on the American forces in Cornwall prior to D-Day in World War Two. From doughnut dugouts to sausage camps, from Bob Hope to softball, from exercises to embarkation, this hour long presentation will give an overview of life in the county in 1943-44 focusing on the mid-Cornwall area.
