About this event
Sunday 17th November
10am-1pm
Ygeri Dor (Open Ground) are two artists (Hannah & Reuben) interested in what art can do for us as communities. π
This is your invite to a morning of art-research in progress at Poltesco National Trust, bursting with stories of Cornish heritage and history. πͺ¨ π«
π We’ll gather-in together at the tail end of Autumn, in an experimental place of learning around questions of our ecological and geological place here in the depths of the Lizard peninsula, in community, and in ourselves π
Expect lots of tangential chat, food, tea and cake!
π The day will include talks, short film screenings, exploring the land and the stories we tell about our personal and intangible connections to it (collecting rocks and objects of our own curiosity), and making things together; sophisticated experimental archeology with the local gabbroic clay (play with mud), layering fragments of textiles (stitching things together), maybe some writing and drawing too π§΅ποΈ
If interested, please email [email protected] or message @_hannahjeannettejordan_ on IG
This is a free-of-charge event, and weβre looking to create moments of joy, learning and knowledge amongst us all which will eventually further our research practice – we are so grateful for your participation.
