Threaded Memories: Zines and Badges – workshop, part of Artist Residency

Threaded Memories: Zines and Badges – inspired by school days and needlework practices.

Join book artist and PhD researcher, Vicki Aimers, on Thursday 24 July, for a creative session exploring memories of school, needlework and education. In this hands-on workshop, you will create your own zine and badge inspired by textile traditions, classroom routines and the teachers who shaped your life.

Come ready to cut, stitch, collage and share your story. All basic materials provided.

Part of the ‘The Class of 1884’ residency at Kresen Kernow with Vicki Aimers.

This free, adult workshop (over 18s only) has two sessions available: 10am-12.30pm or 1-3.30pm.

Accessibility

Details

Kresen Kernow is fully wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with lifts to all levels and automatic main entrance doors. Accessible toilets are available on both floors, with a fully-equipped Changing Places toilet also available on the ground floor. Separate baby changing facilities are also available on the ground floor. If you are arriving by vehicle, there are six accessible parking spaces at the Tesco side of the building and a level entrance into the building. If you are arriving on foot or wheels, from Redruth town centre, the closest entrance is at the end of the public path which runs through the old brewery site, from Chapel Street to Kresen Kernow.
