Calstock Hall

Situated at Calstock Quay, Calstock Hall runs a packed programme of musical and theatrical events throughout the year. Tucked away at the east end of the village, the hall is set in beautiful rural surroundings, offering spectacular views across the quay.

Run entirely by volunteers, Calstock Hall has hosted a whole range of performances, from more intimate shows to much larger productions. Recently, the programme has featured ‘Trevithick’, starring none other than Kernow King himself, a local public figure well known for his quick wit and passion for all things Cornwall. Kernow King takes on the coveted role of Richard Trevithick, a prolific inventor and mining engineer famous for his role in the development of the first high-pressure steam engine.

Other recent acts and performances include the hit music comedy ‘Eat the Poor’ by Jonny and the Baptists, and ‘The Thing That Came From Over There’ by Gonzo Moose. Previous months have seen performances from gig-circuit favourites such as Martha Tilston, Martin Simpson and Jo Harman, as well as shows from renowned theatre companies such as Miracle Theatre and Cube Essential Theatre.

The venue also provides exceptional facilities for children, with a pirate ship play area situated at the front of the hall, and offers car parking facilities to visitors.

Combining eclectic musical performances across a wide range of genres with engaging, lively and entertaining theatre productions, a trip to Calstock Hall in the Tamar Valley is a guaranteed good time.
