The bands play on at St Austell Brewery
A new line up features live and local music from Kezia, Godstone, Echo Town, Company B and The Olives
After their successful first season of St Austell Brewery music sessions, this new line-up features a mixture of first timers to the Brewery’s Visitor Centre venue, alongside favourites who have already graced the stage and packed the hall to the rafters. To top it all off, all events cost £5 – except one, which is free, so we’ll let them off.
Kicking off on 7th July, the Brewery will celebrate the turning of the seasons with a special free Hog and Ale summer party, featuring chilled sessions from local artists Kezia, Samuel Howard and Laura Philpott. With the roast available from 7pm onwards, everyone is welcome to help bring in the summer in style at Cornwall’s newest and fastest growing live music venues!
8th September sees the Brewery playing host to heavy metal masters Godstone, who wowed the audience when the recently formed quintet play support to King Creature earlier in the year. This time coming back in their own right, Godstone will bring their own support for what promises to be a riotous night out.
Echo Town, consisting of free-spirited brothers Ric and Rob Brown, came to Cornwall in 2015 and never looked back, finding a warm Cornish welcome as they brought their vibrant and energetic performances of contemporary freedom songs to the local music scene. Originally heavy rock based, the duo make use of multi instruments such as lap-slide guitar, djembe, didgeridoo and harmonica to create a totally original sound which is well worth catching up with on 27th October.
In November, the perennially popular Company B will storm the stage once again, bringing their own inimitable style and swing beats to the Brewery on the 10th, while a special extra gig has been added to the calendar on 17th November to present the adrenaline-fueled, infectious rock’n’roll blend of Pussycat and the Dirty Johnsons. Ably supported by The Eyelids, this looks set to be a truly memorable night for just a fistful of cash.
Rounding off 2017 on 15th December, Cornwall’s own smoking funk, pop and rock quartet, the Olives, along with legendary sound engineer Sandie Foord, will bring the season to an end in full and fitting party -style.
Tickets for each of the events, apart from the free Summer Party, are £5 and available in advance from the St Austell Brewery Visitor Centre on [email protected]. For more information about any of the events or to check ticket availability, call 01726 66022.
