Bodmin Keep, home of military life in Cornwall houses a wonderful array of swords within its imposing walls, and this May half term the museum is shining a light on this most alluring of historic weapons.
Bodmin Keep is jam packed with Swashbuckling fun!
There will be sword demonstrations and talks by an expert swordsman. *The Swordstorian will be telling captivating stories of swords held by travellers, kings, pirates and brave soldiers, enchanting his audience with tales of adventure, courage and spirit.
Join in the sword discovery trail around the museum & listen to the ‘Weapons Through the Ages’ talk and handling session and craft your own cardboard sword to take home with you!
Swords will always capture the imagination of children… we want to shine a light on our wonderful collection of historic swords and tell the exciting stories of bravery and gallantry behind them in an imaginative and interactive way!

All the museum activities run over the week at various times and come as part of your regular museum entry, *apart from ‘The Swordstorian’ on Thursday May 30th – this is ticketed and an additional £3 per child / adult. (see website for booking details)
