Celebrate Christmas

Christmas Carol Performance.

There’s a warm Christmas welcome to everyone to attend an open Christmas Concert at Truro Methodist Church on Monday December 20 starting at 2pm.

The Truro Good Afternoon Choir and the Falmouth Good Afternoon Choir both started singing in September and numbers in both choirs have steadily increased since that time.

Led by Truro-based Andy Farris both choirs will be joining forces to sing at the Christmas Concert with plenty of opportunities for the audience to join in with those well-loved Christmas Carols.

Across the West of England there are 20 Good Afternoon Choirs. A project led by Bath-based musician Grenville Jones.

He said;

“Each of our choirs choose their own local charity to support with local fundraising and concerts. Falmouth and Truro have both chosen to support the Children’s Hospice South West. There will be a collection at our Christmas concert with plans ahead in 2022 for a number of fundraising events featuring both of our choirs.”

There are no auditions to join Andy and the Good Afternoon Choirs at Falmouth and Truro and they will start singing again in January, full details can be found on the website www.goodafternoonchoir.org
