About this event

Pastel discovery & fun for all abilities in the studio. Techniques. Sea view & still life.

This workshop is an opportunity to play with pastels, whatever your abilities. Pastels are great for boosting confidence! No prescriptive style: this is for you to find your pastel voice!

We will look at various technical aspects of pastels. Dry and oil pastels. Various papers & cards on which to paint. We will also consider their use in mixed media. And give a few thoughts on composition and perspective if you are a beginner. The idea is to have serious fun.

You will find a still life ready, be able to paint the sea view, or produce something on the basis of an idea or something in your sketchbook. You will be able to take your artwork with you.

Youngsters doing art classes are welcome too.

All materials will be provided, but do bring some if you wish to try out something of your own.
