Accessibility

Details

The Redruth Drapery is not yet fully accessible, but the ground floor is very accessible with a wide door, no steps and a good surface for walking and wheelchairs. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor. There is a bar on the ground floor and a cloakroom for storage. Guide dogs are welcome. Food will be served from the first floor and arrangements are in place to bring food and hot drinks to you if you are unable to negotiate the stairs. Unfortunately, there is no lift at the present time. If you have specific requirements relating to accessibility, please do call us and we can discuss these with you. We will do everything possible to accommodate your individual needs.

Directions

The Redruth Drapery is an easy, five-minute walk from two large car parks: West End carpark is at: 47a W End, Redruth TR15 3BS Long stay Pay and display – cash or mobile phone (location code 8387) 9am to 4pm on Saturday, free after 4pm and all day Sunday. Leave the carpark by the main entrance and turn right. Cross Coach Lane and keep heading down into the town. The Redruth Drapery is at the bottom of the Hill, on the right, just before the main crossroads at the bottom of Fore St. New Cut car park is at: New Cut, Redruth TR15 1AF Short or long stay (extension) Pay and display – cash or mobile phone (location code 8389) 9am to 4pm on Saturday, free after 4pm and all day Sunday. Take the Ope on the lower side of Wilko and this will bring you into the main street. Turn right and walk down the rest of Fore St, to the crossroads at the bottom of the town. Head straight across – using the crossing provided - and the Drapery is ahead of you on the left-hand side. Coming by Train? The main Penzance to London line has a stop in Redruth and most (all ??) trains stop there. From the train station there is a 10 minute walk to the Redruth Drapery, the most scenic route is along Alma Place (the road 50m down on the right as you face downhill) and the left down Lower Fore St. The Redruth Drapery is straight across at the crossroads at the bottom of town (using the light controlled crossing) and can be found on the left, a few metres from the cross roads. Coming by bus? The bus station is opposite the train station so follow the instructions for walking from the train.
