About this event
Every day items that we either throw away, give to the charity shop or put into our recycling bin can be used for something more exciting. I love looking at the shelves full of random glassware at the charity shop, or peering into the neighbours recycling bin and imagining how I could turn some items into a visual feast! Offcuts of wood from a local joinery shop and chunks of locally felled timber are used in my work.
My work primarily revolves around creating unique timepieces fashioned from the materials described above, but occasionally I will be tempted to make small items of automata. I have also made larger kinetic clocks and have exhibited such an item at The MAD Museum in Stratford upon Avon.
Commissions are always welcome and I would be happy to discuss any particular ideas you may have in mind and bringing them to fruition.
Nearby: Botallack Mines and Queens Arms Pub. Visitors may explore Tremorrans Quiet Garden and discover a granite labyrinth.
Accessibility
Details
Unfortunately, we are not disabled friendly as we have too many steps and obstacles. Also we are not family friendly.....in my experience children hate coming to these things and we only allow children in the garden if they are supervised by adults...because of ponds and poisonous plants!
Directions
Tremorran is situated outside St. Just (on B3306 iconic coast road from Lands End to St. Ives) on the boundary of Truthwall and Botallack.
