About this event
This in an on going project to improve opportunities for composition, song writing, DJ-ing or lyric writing in Saltash increasing resources and links for students to write the music they like or create lyrics for Raps to get their voice heard. The Lyric and Song Writing Festival will be linking with local professionals to deliver workshops and support students to produce fantastic compositions or prose that will be performed in local venues.
We aim to encourage people from the community to get involved and learn about a range of different styles of music. I have a vision of this becoming a bigger project as the year goes on and more people hear about it. Building a new part of community for students who wouldn’t normally be involved in the Performing Arts.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Community Renewal Fund in Cornwall.
