Located in the heart of Newquay close to all public transport links, Newquay Zoo promises an entertaining day out for animal lovers.
Children and adults can get close to more than 1,000 species of endangered animals and explore the subtropical gardens, filled with many beautiful plants from around the world. Visitors can explore the Oriental Garden, World War Zoo Memorial Garden and Cornish Dragon Maze, and spend time discovering more than 100 different animals and exotic plant species in the Tropical House Rainforest.
Dedicated to protecting global wildlife heritage, Newquay Zoo also runs a packed programme of events through the year for the whole family. Visitors can attend one of the daily talks led by experienced zoo personnel, and can often witness feeding times for many different animals including penguins, monkeys and lions.
The zoo also runs seasonal themed events throughout the year including its annual Eggstreme Easter Weekend, Safari Summer event and Shriek Week, a Halloween-themed event, as well as its Fearsome Feasts programme which involves after-hours tours of key areas within the zoo run by experienced zookeepers.
While picnics are welcome on site, the zoo is also home to two cafes: Cafe Lemur and Tippy’s Snack Bar, both offering a selection of home-made meals and treats.
One of Cornwall’s key visitor attractions, Newquay Zoo provides the perfect backdrop to a fun and adventure-packed day out for the family to enjoy, all year round.
