About this event
When I show people my seaweed pressings they always think they’re prints and not actually the real thing, it’s mind blowing how they can be preserved in such a beautiful way.
To find out more about this Victorian past time join me on board Lady Daphne a 101 year old badge in Charlestown Harbour, where I will be talking and demonstrating the art of seaweed pressing.
It will also be a chance to see some of my products on sale.
This event will be standing. After the event you are welcome to stay around, we have a fully licensed bar on board. All ages welcome.
Price includes all materials
20% of all sale goes towards the upkeep of Lady Daphne.
*Whilst we try to accommodate all ages and abilities, please note, there is no wheelchair access and some element of difficulty on board for those with restricted mobility.
**Please be aware that Lady Daphne is an adapted early 20th Century cargo barge and those aboard are requested to exercise a higher degree of responsibility for their own safety, including hazards such as low ceilings, steep staircases, slippery decks (if wet or icy) etc, and many multi level trip hazards, both on and below deck.
