Cornwall’s Climate Stories is a series of documentaries highlighting the impacts of climate change already being felt across Cornwall, as well as the fantastic local businesses, researchers and community groups working hard to prepare us for the challenges coming our way.
Doors will open at 6.30pm, food and drink will be available to purchase.

Under the Surface
Under the Surface is the first episode of Cornwall’s Climate Stories. Presented by beach cleaner Claire Wallerstein, it looks at how the huge rise in public awareness about the impacts of plastic pollution may have diverted attention from an even more urgent environmental problem affecting the sea – climate change.

Cornish fishermen have got a lot on their plates – from worries about weather and Brexit to stocks, quota and overfishing. But Plenty More Fish? lifts the lid on the many ways in which climate change is also affecting the local fishing industry, and is likely to do so much more in future.

But as climate change brings rising sea levels and worsening storms, what will this mean for Cornwall’s coastal communities?

Down the Drain delves deep into issues around climate change and Cornwall’s fresh water – looking at everything from heavier rain leading to more sewage overflows, flooding and loss of topsoil, to how warmer river water is affecting fish, and the surprising carbon footprint of the water we use every day.
