About this event

I create handbuilt ceramic vessels inspired by Cornwall and its history illustrating them with creatures and scenes using the sgraffito technique.

I have been an art teacher and artist for over 25 years living and working in East Yorkshire and more recently a small village on the beautiful south Cornish coast. Birds, fish, and ancient tales inspired my designs which are always evolving, there isn’t enough time to create all the ideas that get drawn into my sketchbooks. I discovered the beautiful technique of Sgraffito ceramics as an extension of my lino and woodcut printmaking. I love creating hand-built earthenware and porcelain pieces and individually decorating each piece in my Little Apple Studio in Duloe, South Cornwall.

Access to the studio is all on one level. There is a small step into the studio.

Directions

Little Apple is the smaller of two new white houses at the end of the village opposite the old Victorian pump house.
