Create an amazing winter story using a shoebox!

Come out of the cold and join artist Melanie Young to make your own beautiful shadow lantern with a wintery theme.

A shoebox is the base and then you can let your imagination run wild!

Anything wintery – snowflakes, the bare spikey branches of trees, silhouettes created by warmly lit windows, birds flying in the cold sky …… you choose!

Your shadow story lanterns will pile up to make a beautiful torch-lit setting for The Story Republic’s performance at 2pm (learn more about this event on our website).

All materials are provided, you just need to bring your enthusiasm – but if you do have an empty shoebox to use, please feel free to bring it along!
