About this event
Amy’s work is colourful and expressive, using poured paint juxtaposed with geometrical patterns. There will be works in progress as well as a large body of finished pieces to see. Some of her paintings are available to order as reproduction prints.
Amy takes her inspiration from nature and music, creating abstract paintings from her emotional response to these stimuli, and each work is made in two stages – an initial ‘action’ phase, where accident is allowed to reign, and a second ‘contemplative’ phase, where more conscious decisions about colour relationships and compositional dynamics are made.
The garden surrounding the studio is also open for guests to enjoy.

Enter The Crescent via the New Road turning directly off the A38. There's a small car park immediately as you come off the A38. The garden of number 4 is accessed via stairs behind the house.
