About this event

Angela will be working in her new studio between Gwenver and Sennen all week. Original prints, paintings, books and cards at studio prices.

My new studio is set just above the beautiful beaches of Sennen and Gwenver, just off the cliff path. I will be serving tea, coffee and homemade biscuits, and you are welcome to come for a chat and to browse my tools and materials, and an exhibition of both original paintings and relief prints on fabric and paper. I will be working on a very large woodcut during the week, as well as a new palette knife painting in oils.

My work is defined by strong lines and bold shapes. Woodcuts and linoprints show the wild side of nature and capture the strong outlines and textures of the natural world. The printmaker’s lines cross over into my paintings in both oils and mixed media, with jewel-like colours reminiscent of stained glass. Each piece is colourful and textured with a striking, graphic style, offering an original interpretation of Cornwall’s wild seas, rolling hills and winding streets. New work, textiles and sale items available. Commissions welcome.

Directions

From the A30 as you enter Sennen from Penzance, turn right down Sunny Corner Lane (on the left as you leave the village if coming from Land's End). Continue for half a mile until you see the white gate of Pengwenver. My studio is opposite.
