About this event
This year, Annabel welcomes you to her printmaking studio at Bosulval Studios surrounded by countryside in Newmill, near Penzance. Annabel creates collagraph, monoprint and cyanotype prints by using collected natural and refound materials. Annabel also collects subject matter from Cornish gardens and coastal walks, gleaning ideas for her botanical prints. She is fascinated by the sub tropical plants found in Cornwall and attempts to capture the fragility of nature using a unique monoprinting technique.
Annabel will explain the processes used in her work and show you the set-up of her print studio. She will be giving demonstrations on mono-printing, an effective and simple print technique using an etching press. Annabel will also run a workshop on Saturday 27th May (all ages and abilities welcome). This will give you a chance to explore monoprint techniques using natural materials and colourful inks. There will be a selection of affordable cyanotype prints, monoprints and collagraph prints for sale, both framed and unframed. There will also be a selection of botanical cards for sale.
Bosulval Studios is part of a collective of artists who work there throughout the year.
There is parking and disabled access. All welcome to pop by, have a chat or enjoy a workshop and try some homemade lemonade! Dogs welcome.

Parking is found straight ahead when driving into the studios car park. You can park at the bottom of the ramp which can take you up to the studio if using a wheelchair. Look for the orange circle and 'Bosulval Studios' sign by the roadside.
