About this event
This is an important exhibition of around 50 paintings on display in Polperro by artists who from the mid 19th century through much of the 20th century based themselves in Polperro or regularly visited the area. The collection is curated by art historian David Tovey who has extensively researched Polperro as an art centre and has published a two-volume illustrated history of the village’s art and social history titled ‘Polperro – Cornwall’s Forgotten Art Centre’. Copies of the publication are available at the exhibition which is open:
Weekdays and Saturdays 10am to 4pm.
