About this event
In the heart of North Cornwall, Cornwall Pottery’s studio is set in my own garden.
I am inspired by woodland and seascape but most of all, my work is functional and made with love, and passion to create an everyday object that will add value to anyone using it.
Visitors may experience a short taster session of throwing on the wheel at suitable times, witness a demonstration and see how Cornwall Pottery is created. I prefer to use local Dobels Clay from St Agnes as well as other stoneware clays, I have developed some of my own glazes and still experiment with colours and applications which makes my work eclectic. Though I do offer production of commissioned work.
I also sell in the local shops throughout Cornwall. I love to teach and inspire others having taught for many years I am able to transfer my teaching skills for pottery. Set in beautiful surroundings nestled on the edge of 18 miles of woodland near to the camel trail visitors may also want to explore the local area.
