About this event
A delightfully quaint building on Westcotts Quay, overlooking St Ives Harbour is now home to Barnoon Arts. Downstairs is the gallery space with original contemporary drawings by Peter Giles.
Peter creates his works here at the back of the gallery, from his large drawing board on the plan chest. Peter’s art practice involves making intricate and beautiful, contemporary abstract drawings on paper. The work is time consuming, and involves using set of rules for each piece, building up line by line in a methodical and meditative approach. He uses fine liner and marker pens, dipping pens with ink and other drawing implements. You can see Peter’s working practice during the Open Studio week and watch a drawing in real time progress.
