About this event
Explore the Second World War with wartime games, weaponry talks, Make do and Mend and Living History!
Bodmin Keep has a full programme of Second World War themed family activities for all ages this October half term.
Explore how those on the Home Front did Make Do and Mend, learn how to make a lavender bag from fabric scraps and take away materials to make your own bag at home! There’s will also be a chance to find out about some wartime children’s games and pastimes.
Learn about some of the weapons used by the British Army and the Home Guard in the Second World War including a shotgun and Bren Gun. Hear how the army and those serving at home were equipped.
On Saturday 30 October visitors can meet our friendly Second World War re-enactor and find out about life in the US and British Infantry with fascinating objects and uniforms in a living history display!
Activities are on from 10am – 4.30pm and are included in the admission price, just go to www.bodminkeep.org to see what’s on each day. The museum is great value at £7 per adult, £3 per child, under 5 years are free, and it’s dog friendly too!
