Traditional and contemporary basketry using willow from the Bojorrow withy beds located on the Lizard in Cornwall.

I am a willow weaver based on The Lizard in Cornwall. You will find my studio on a peaceful country lane looking out onto open countryside.

I provide willow products for both home and garden all handwoven and created by me. Each one is unique. I began weaving many years ago when attending a willow basketry course after relocating to Cornwall. My interest was sparked and over recent years my passion/hobby has become a large part of my every day life alongside sea swimming and walking, where I take inspiration from the beautiful local surroundings. In 2022 I was honoured to be asked to exhibit and demonstrate in the Rural Crafts section at the Royal Cornwall Show and will be participating again in 2023.

I have my own withy beds where I harvest over 30 varieties of willow with beautiful natural colours that I can add into my baskets and sculptures. I love to share my skills with other aspiring weavers and aim to help this ancient craft continue into the future.

When visiting my studio you will be able to watch demonstrations of weaving in progress whilst also seeing examples of my work.

Directions

From Helston take the A3083 towards St. Keverne. At roundabout turn left onto B3293 towards St. Keverne and Coverack. Continue through Garras turning right 200m after unrestricted speed sign. Studio is located after Higher Bojorrow on your right.
