About this event
The last concert of the Truro Three Arts season takes place on Friday 17 March. The London Bridge Trio will perform piano trios by Felix Mendelssohn, Colin Matthews and Johannes Brahms. The trio is one of Britain’s leading chamber ensembles, known for their deeply nuanced and searching interpretations.
The trio originally formed in 2002 by David Adams, violin, Kate Gould, cello, and Daniel Tong, piano, as the London Bridge Ensemble. They prioritise strong, composer-led programmes and collaborate with regular guest artists. Their name reflects an admiration for English music of the early twentieth century, which forms part of the group’s varied repertoire.
Over recent years the trio has appeared frequently in London at Wigmore Hall and Kings Place as well as a residency at St John’s Smith Square. Their concerts have been broadcast by BBC Radio 3. The London Bridge Trio has a strong reputation in the recording field.
The concert takes place at Mylor Theatre, Truro College and starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £20, under 25s £5, and are available from the Cornish Riviera Box Office. https://uk.patronbase.com/_CornishRivieraBoxOffice/Productions/TR36/Performances.
