About this event
The Cornwall Garden Society’s (CGS) December lectures will be delivered by Noel Kingsbury who is a garden designer and internationally-renowned writer who is best known for his promotion of naturalistic planning design in gardens and designed landscapes.
He has written 25 books on various aspects of gardening, plant science and the environment, four of them in collaboration with Dutch garden designer and plantsman, Piet Oudolf.
Noel has also written for Gardens Illustrated, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Garden, Hortus, The New York Times and many other publications.
Through his consultancy, he has advised on roof greening and other aspects of green architecture including collaborations with artists working in the public sphere.
Noel is actively involved in the promotion of quality public planting, having worked as a design consultant on several projects with Bristol City Council.
Women, Men and Gardening will be his subject on Tuesday 7th December at 7.30pm at The Alverton in Truro whilst New Ways with Perennials will be his theme on Wednesday 8th December at 2.30pm at Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth.
These lectures are free for CGS members. Non-members are welcome to attend to find out more about the Society and donations are gratefully received.
The CGS is a charity that exists to encourage and improve the science, art and practice of horticulture in all its branches; share knowledge about gardening and Cornwall’s rich garden heritage, and conserve the county’s natural environment. The Society is affiliated to the RHS and its Patron is HRH The Prince of Wales.
