About this event
Diana has always had a fascination for the plant world and in 2014 she gained a diploma in botanical illustration. She enjoys the process of discovery when closely observing and creating sketches directly from live plants. These life sized studies inform the final piece, which may then be enlarged many times to accentuate the detail and character of her subjects. Living on the Lizard coast with its mild climate and rich variety of flora and fauna provides much inspiration for her artwork. She would love to welcome you to the studio during her week at Mullion Cove Hotel to view her artwork and at the same time enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the Lizard coastline.
Diana belongs to a collective called Owrek, meaning gold in Cornish. The group was formed on their graduation from Cornwall College. They are a multidisciplinary group of artists, working in photography, clay, acrylics and charcoal.
