About this event
A great walk that passes Huer’s Hut at Towan Head and walks the length of Fistral Beach, a mecca for surfers and anyone who loves to watch waves rolling in from the Atlantic. Completing a circuit of Pentire Point headland offers magnificent views up the river Gannel before heading back inland.
Two options:
Newquay Circular 1 walk is three miles / Easy. Tramper accessible.
Newquay Circular 2 walk is 5.8 miles / Easy.
Organised by the South West Coast Path Association (www.southwestcoastpath.org.uk), this is one of seven coastal fundraising walks taking place across each of the seven sections of the 630-mile South West Coast Path during May & June. Each of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ walks has been designed to make it easy for everyone to join in and get a taste of the powerful health and wellbeing benefits of taking to the Trail, whilst giving back and supporting the work the charity does to protect and champion this incredible Path, which is under increasing threat from severe weather conditions.
This walk is supported by The Esplanade Hotel, Newquay.
St Austell Brewery is offering a FREE pint to every participant in their Great Western pub in Newquay, to be enjoyed at the end of the walk.
