About this event
Come and join us to learn how to make a mini film using only your smartphone, a basic editing app and your imagination. On the 29th of May between 10.30am and 1.30pm we invite you to come and learn how to make a film as part of the Snapshots in Time project. Each mini film made by attendees of these workshops will be included in a larger film created by Blystra Arts filmmaker Guy Davies, Director Ellen Moule and technician Dave Brown.
This longer film, made up of many mini-project films will then be shown to the public in June 2022 at our Snapshots in Time final event and we will invite our audience to power this final piece using our pedal-powered energy kit. Four bikes and four people will power the projector and screen which shows the film made by the community. In order to attend this workshop, you will need to bring along a smartphone or tablet with enough space on it to download the required editing app needed to edit films.
This workshop is free and is part of the Snapshots in Time project, funded by Tresorys Kernow, and Arts Well CIC, however, we only have limited places, so booking is essential. To book your place in this workshop please go to: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/filmmaking-workshop-for-adults-tickets-338835665597. This workshop is run in conjunction with Newquay Museum and the Celtic Lounge Café.
