About this event
A four mile free guided walk exploring the fascinating history of the now silted up Par estuary. In the past ocean going craft were able to sail up to St Blazey but tin streaming and china clay extraction has caused the old estuary to silt up.
Discover the extent of this ancient waterway following footpaths and quiet lanes through gently undulating terrain and take in some sweeping views. Parts of the walk can be muddy if wet so wear sturdy footwear and bring waterproofs.
Meeting at St Andrews road duckpond at 10am for a 3 hour walk on Saturday 18th March
