A hopeful exhibition of art celebrating growth.

GERMINATION: a hopeful exhibition of new paintings, ceramics , sculpture and jewellery by local artists and makers, celebrating growth…

Join us at the gorgeous Tremenheere Gallery from 11th to 21st November (private view on the evening of 10th) to see new work from 9 local artists and makers who are all considering growth and germination of not just plants but ideas and social change in their work.

Ceramics by Bridget Macklin, Laurel Keeley
Sculpture by Ann-Magreth Bohl
Art jewellery by Sarah Drew and Donna Burns
Outdoor education installation (supported by Crafts Council) by Nik Elvy

Although they share a concern for the damage humans are precipitating on the planet, it’s essentially an optimistic hope that nature will be appreciated once more and prevail, through re-wilding and re-planting the land will hopefully heal itself. The question is, will we respond in time to the climate emergency for humans to survive?

They see positivity in the small shoots of hope that are beginning to emerge: the force of normal people working together, helping each other and trying to create a new world order that sits within nature and counteracts the negative effects we’ve had on the world…

Look out for the Germination themed jewellery-making and art workshops on Saturday 13th and 20th November (free for 11-18-year-olds)
