About this event
With deep regret, we have to announce that the IMS Prussia Cove Spring concerts have been cancelled due to coronavirus. This is the first time in nearly 50 years that we have had to cancel a seminar or concert series, and we are deeply sad but the safety of all our participants, helpers, and the local community have to be our first concern. Challenging times are facing us all, and we can only work together and hope to have it all behind us before too long. In the meantime we are planning our September series, with the hope that all will be well by then, and we can resume our usual activities.
IMS Prussia Cove’s Artistic Director Steven Isserlis, opens the Spring Series of concerts with his colleagues, András Keller, violin and Kim Kashkashian, viola.
Boccherini Sonata for Cello
Bloch ‘From Jewish Life’
Britten ‘Lachrymae’
Beethoven Kreutzer Sonata Op.47
IMS brings together musicians from all over the world to study with eminent professors in a unique and intense series of Masterclasses. This series of six concerts brings the best of these musicians into venues around West Cornwall to perform a wide variety of repertoire – a thrilling chance to hear some young stars on the brink of their professional careers, as well as an opportunity to hear their inspiring professors in concert.
