Award-winning choirs, Loveny Male Voice Choir and St Stithians Ladies Choir will be performing in concert at St Petrocs church in aid of church funds.
Loveny MVC in its 59th year are winners of the over 40 voices section at the 2022 Cornwall International Male Choral Festival. Under Musical director Marcus Alleyne, the choir is widening its repertoire to include arrangements of contemporary songs and original compositions as well as the sacred, spiritual and folk-based arrangements.
Stithians Ladies Choir was formed in 1966 and currently have 35 members. Musical Director Bea Geddes has been working with choirs, bands, orchestras and musical theatre in Cornwall for over 30 years. The Ladies excelled at the 2022 Cornwall Music Festival by taking First in their class with 91 marks and went on to win the overall Choral Championship of the Festival. The choirs repertoire includes modern and traditional music, songs from the shows and all the old favourites.
The combination of these two choirs will provide a very entertaining and varied selection of music to make this an evening not to miss.
