About this event

Intuitive abstract artist working in acrylics with occasional landscape paintings.

I am an intuitive abstract painter, so work very much freestyle with no fixed ideas when beginning a painting. My paintings develop through mark making and the colours I choose, which in turn influence the outcome of the piece. Often my work can evoke a period in time, an emotion, or the natural world, but essentially the paintings are open to individual interpretation.

I am an associate member of the Penwith Gallery , St Ives, Cornwall and member of the National Acrylic Painters Association. I have exhibited at a range of galleries including: Penwith Gallery St Ives, the St Ives Society of Artists Open Exhibitions, The Poly Falmouth, Ryebank Gallery Rye, Salthouse Gallery St Ives, Form, Falmouth and the Show Off Gallery, Whitstable. Last year I exhibited at the National Acrylic Painters Association in Wells, Somerset where I was awarded the Global Arts prize for ‘Best Contemporary Painting’ in show.

Access to the main studio is flat. There is also a small side studio that has two steps, one on entry to the building and one on entering the studio itself.

Directions

Follow B3293 towards Coverack. When you reach the PACE/Zoar garage, turn right, then take the second turning on the right marked Ponsongath/Gwenter. Follow this road for 1.75m until you reach Gwenter. Mistral is the first property on the left.
