About this event

Karen’s acrylic paintings depict Cornish gardens and coastal villages in an illustrative, authentic style. Originals, prints and greetings cards.

A self taught artist since 2019 exploring and creating her own unique style of representing the wonderful views from her North Helford home and around Cornwall. Inspired by the abundance of greens and blues on her doorstep and the secret viewpoints from the wonderful Pedn Billy Estate.

Exhibiting for the first time in 2023 which lead to the production of greetings cards and prints. Her aim is to create colourful works of simplified, instinctive shapes with an injection of light. Transporting the viewer to a familiar place and feeling.

A founding member of Helford Artists Collective, a wonderful group of supportive artists who are all participating in Open Studios this year, forming a local, short circuit perfect for visiting on the same day! Situated on the North Helford River adjacent to Port Navas, Helford Passage, Trebah Gardens, Glendurgan Gardens and The Budock Vean Hotel.

The open studio will be located at the back of the house. There is one step up into the house. There are toilet facilities adjacent.

Directions

From Helford Passage Hill, turn right into Bar Road and continue until the very end. Enter Pedn Billy estate gates and Pedn Billy Lodge is located a short distance in the right. Ample off road parking outside The Lodge.
