About this event
Tor Pottery Works is a fun and unique space that provides a safe environment for all ability levels to learn about pottery whilst making friends. It opened to the public in December 2023 but previously was a space for both Jenna and Danielle to undertake their own works but felt too pretty not to share!
Jenna (Kicking Pots) first fell in love with ceramics about 20 years ago and has explored a number of different disciplines but is always drawn back to throwing as she finds it grounding and therapeutic. Her style is as diverse as her own brain and can vary from chequered patterns, foot illustrations to simple slip designs which let the shape speak for itself.
Jenna works across a number of disciplines including illustration and screen printing and is passionate about exploring how she can cross this over into ceramics.
Before working full time in Tor Pottery Works she enjoyed a long career as a Manager in Children Social Care supporting some of Cornwalls most vulnerable young people. She has extensive experience in mental health and trauma and one days wants to explore how Tor Pottery Works can offer therapeutic support to those in the local community
