About this event
My studio is located in our self built, unique timber framed home in Cornwall. My pieces are individual and sometimes challenging. I have a love of bright colour, texture and depth, many works are 3 dimensional featuring holographic glitter and inclusions from the beach and land around my home. Living on the coast, my love of the sea and nature features very highly – particularly Cephalopods and jelly fish. I use acrylic resin to make inclusions as well as to add depth and reflection to some pieces. The focus of this event follows three strands, birds and sea creatures, flora and fauna and the face – as a neuro-divergent artist you will experience an insight into how the ADHD mind creates and finds beauty and connections. I often work on five or six paintings at a time – reflecting the diversity and flexibility of ADHD thinking.
The exhibition is hung throughout my studio and unique home – many works of mine are best seen in a lower light (but not all) so you will follow the light through the exhibition.
I work in oils and acrylics and sometimes watercolour and ink – sometimes altogether- I follow how I feel as I paint and often my emotions as a mother, wife and individual are reflected in the work – this may be challenging.
