About this event
Lucy Joines’ playful ceramics are beautifully decorated with underglazes and gold lustre to depict the wildlife of moor and sea. Her illustrative designs capture a magical world and each and every one is unique.
They will be displayed alongside striking jewellery by Laura Drayson. Silver and semi-precious gemstones are combined to create sculptural pieces, inspired by the textures and history of the Cornish coast.
Lucy’s garden studio is positioned in the village of Mount Hawke on the North coast of Cornwall, a 10 minute drive to Porthtowan beach and an equal distance to the village of St Agnes.
Refreshments will be offered to all and the chance to rest in Lucy’s flower garden, where you will also see a collection of her outdoor ceramic sculptures.
Accessibility
Details
The studio is situated at the end of a concreted, flat drive which would accommodate a wheelchair. There is a threshold on the floor of the doorway to get over, but these are patio doors that open up to help with accessibility. There is comfortable seating inside the studio. There are steps to the toilet facilities in the house.
Directions
Follow signs from Chiverton roundabout to the village of Mount Hawke. Once on Rope Walk, drive up past the council flats on the left and we are on the right, 2nd house before the bright pink house! Look out for the hare sculpture and studio on drive.
