A two-day knife making and cookery course
The ultimate weekend for any passionate & creative foodie. Create your own bespoke knife with Dan Maltwood of Pareusi on day one, and then take it for a test run with a unique cooking course at Philleigh Way Cookery School the following day.
Duration: Saturday & Sunday 4th & 5th April
Tutors: Head tutor – Rupert Cooper & Dan Maltwood Owner Paresui
Maximum student to tutor ratio: 5-1
10am – Meet at Pareusi HQ for Tea, coffee & cake.
10:30am – Let the work commence, Dan armed with your designs will begin the process with you. From choice of handle to colour scheme.
1pm – Lunch and while the dust settles on your knives, we take you over to Kober (Philleigh Way’s sister restaurant on the quayside in Hayle)
2:30pm -Back to the HQ to finish off your personalised, bespoke knife.
5:30pm – Round up and let the knife set ready for the next day. The evening is yours to enjoy.
9:30am – Collection from pre arranged pick up point, Travel to Philleigh Way.
10:20am – Tea, coffee & cake on arrival
10:45am – Let the fun begin. Rupert will lead you through Cornish food experience. From filleting fish to creating classic Cornish bread. All with your handmade knife of course! The course includes five demonstrations and four practical sessions. All equipment, aprons, food and drink is supplied with a wonderfully long lunch and wine.
4:30pm- Pack up you things, clean off your knife and we will drop you back to your location!
