About this event
Our new exhibition Dealing with Disaster highlights the British Army’s role in natural disaster relief. Opening on Monday, 19 June, ahead of the Armed Forces celebrations in Cornwall, it delves into one of the four core aims of the Army to ‘Deal with Disaster’.
The exhibition explores how the Army works internationally to help rebuild the communities most affected by extreme natural events. Through informative visuals and evocative photographs, Dealing with Disaster investigates how the Army fits into the global collaborative effort in response to disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods.
With the climate emergency increasing the frequency of natural disasters, this timely exhibition reveals the Army’s vital role in supporting communities at home and worldwide.
