About this event
The opening show of 2023 proudly introduces new contemporary artworks by invited established, and emerging, artists new to showing in the gallery – and St Ives.
The show features, for example, the Rhode Island, New Hampshire-based artist Nathan Isaac, whose ‘mid-century modern inspired’ mixed-media works with collage (sustainably-sourced vintage ephemera), will be showing for the first time in Cornwall .
Also showing, is the award-winning Cornish artist, Amy Albright, whose ethereal and beguiling coastal landscape paintings are being shown for the first time in the gallery.
Along with Cornwall-based artist Nicky Knowles’ collage compositions – with a nod to the mid-century British art scene that she so admires, and Saul Cathcart’s abstracted plein air paintings of the Cornish landscape that he’s known and treasured for over 30 years, this is a “must-see” show.
Contemporary ceramics by invited artists complement the main show.
Entry to the show is free, and all the works in show are available to purchase using the Own Art 0% APR payment plan – spreading the cost of your purchase over ten monthly payments.
